5 Artist drawing styles

Andy Warhol: This is a drawing of a flower created in his style, bright colours and cartoon illustration

Claes Oldenburg:  This is quick drawing simular to th type of Claes Oldenburg, the drawing is of giant chilie and compared  to a random object in this case a tea cup.

Pablo Picasso: This is quick drawing of a guitar done in the style Picasso e.g. broken up and rearanged.
Marcel Duchamp: The style that i have drawn of Marcel Duchamp is the light and shadow work that he is famouse for.




Keith Haring: i have drawn a replica of one of his most famouse art pieces


Evaluation of the Game

During my ideas for a game i was playing a lot games to hopfully be influenced, and thats when i came over a game that i love to play and thought why dont i addapt that game and improve on it. For one of the main elements in the game i wanted to have a first and third person view so that more players would be intrested, after i had that idea i was told to create a main character so i did a bit of research and looks for clothes and armor to blend in with the set of the game. to find the perfect scenery we took a trip to dartmoore to take picture of whatever you would like to incorperate in to the game. around 70% of the pictures i took were distand shots because i loved the idea of huge boss battles in my game.

In the end i decided to make my main character a knight in an alternate med evil past so that i could design my own armor and weapons in the game. The story line is that you are an orphan all alone lost trying to get back to the village that you grow up in.

When i was doing skeches for the characters i did all my drawings on paper and scaned them in. I did this because i am still learning how to draw this a graphics tablet.

Overall i was happy with the outcome of the game concepts and characters. If i had to do this task again the first thing i would do is to get as much practice using a graphics tablet just so that it would be easier to save drawings instead of having bits of paper scatterd every where. I would also do a little bit more blog work and not just researching characters and settings for the game. In this unit i enjoyed the trip to dartmoore to get primary evidence which was different.

Game screens

 The token in this scene is clearly infront of the player, the tokens will start out like this and gradually get hard to find to add the difficulty level as the player goes further into the game.

 Each token will be worth different amounts to help the player progress through the game. for example the bosses are going to get harder so the player will need better and stronger armor so when they have enough money they can buy armor and weapons in the store.












In the game play there will be tokens that will be alot harder to spot than others in this scene the token is hidden behind a rock. This is a first person view what the the palyer will see in game when they are looking for money.

road signs

Most road signs have use smybols to comunicate to some are to give orders others are to warn you. The use of colour on a road sign is very important to becasue that gives you an indication of whats infront. Also the use shapes of the signs tell you what to expenct for example this give way sign is a triangle because it is an order.
The use of colour of signs like these are to grap the attention and the bold font in the middle of the sign is recognisable and is not there to confuse.

3 Close ups



I would encorperate these features into the game by maybe using them as armor or as scenery.Out of the three feature hear i feel that i would use wolf eye insted of the butterfly wing or the flower petals because eye could make the eyes seem evil if they were on a boss in the game or you could make them tell emotion from the main charater in a cut scene.

Skull shade

This is one of my line drawings of the skull in colour.
To do this i scaned the image and opened it in Photoshop and selected a soft brush and chose a light gray and went over the part that had depth to make them stand out. Then i selected a dark yellow and with the soft brush went over the parts at the top to give a light effect. After this i got a softer brush and a lighter yellow and went over the part i hadnt filled in.
